PLACES

Hard-hitting drama from post-soviet era (early 90´s) in Czechoslovakia.

In 2011, Bionaut Films‘ Walking Too Fast (Pouta) swept the Czech Film Awards with 5 wins including Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay. Its powerful look at the way a Totalitarian regime can affect the lives of ordinary people made it one of the most vital and acclaimed Czech films of the last two decades.

Following on from that success, the same creative team – Radim Špaček (director), Ondřej Štindl (writer), Jaromír Kačer (camera) and Vratislav Šlajer (producer) begin shooting the follow up film Places (Mista) in June 2013.

The film continues the theme of hard-hitting drama that looks at the changing nature of the Czech Republic. Places is a co-production project of Bionaut (CZ) and PubRes (SK), with Czech Television (CZ), i/o post (CZ) & SoundSquare (CZ).
