A chamber-tinged tale revolving around three main characters.

The artist Vladimír has lots in common with his life partner, the 35-ish Karla: she’s a painter, a bohemian, and she’s got a sharp tongue she isn't afraid to use. Jaruna, on the other hand, is a 55-year-old married woman, a nurse by profession, and Vladimír’s former lover. The threesome is waging a losing battle with death, with themselves and with each other at the same time – a battle which, in its own way, purifies them. The plot’s twists and turns depict the rather cruel world through potent situations and vivid supporting characters, who can’t seem to understand Karla and Jaruna’s stubborn fussing over the dying Vladimír, nor the ins and outs of their cohabitation.

The end of summer in 'LIKE NEVER BEFORE' also means the end of a life. Vladimír Holas, a painter, sculptor and teacher in a small town, is dying. He's made many beautiful paintings -- but not as great as he'd wished them to be.
